Finding Balance – Creating Happiness

Finding Balance – Creating Happiness Do you find that life is moving so fast you barely have time to stop and really enjoy yourself?  Life is moving fast, but we don’t have to let it take control how we manage ourselves.  This is where learning to find balance comes in!  It is first about being self-aware of when we are out of alignment.  Second we understand the result can lead to stress, fatigue, depression and anxiety.  All then have a negative impact on our lives and those around us.

The good news is we can take immediate action to bring ourselves back to a state of natural balance where we can feel peace regardless of external circumstances.  Here are a couple of easy things you can begin to incorporate daily to bring balance within yourself to create long term happiness.

1.       Take time out every day for prayer or meditation. Wake up a little earlier in the morning and sit with a quiet mind for at least 10-15 minutes before you start your day.

2.       Go outside and walk in nature. We aren’t meant to live our lives sitting indoors.  Carve out time in your day to move your body.

3.       Be able to receive as well as give.   Have awareness of how much you are willing to receive as well as give.  Seek to find balance between giving and receiving.

Finding balance between life’s hectic demands and finding the quiet within ourselves will lead us to happiness and joy.

This certification class taught by Reiki Master/Teacher, Jennifer Cunnings provides an in-depth understanding of Reiki that far exceeds what can be taught in a one day course.  You will gain the confidence to feel and work with Reiki energy because you will have ample time to practice on yourself, friends and classmates.   You will receive a Reiki attunement at the end of each class which connects you to the Reiki frequency.

What Is Balance?

We hear about the importance of balance between family and work and play but I think true balance is more than that. It's about nurturing yourself and being present and aware in your every moment. It is when we spend too much time thinking of the past or worrying about the future we disrupt our balance.  

Some things to consider:

  • Being present in moment - Mindfullness Giving and receiving – practicing both everyday
  • Experiencing masculine and feminine energies
  • Having daily graditude

 

How balanced do you feel today? What areas can you reflect on right now that might bring you closer to feeling at peace? How do you think that becoming more balanced in your life will provide you happiness? I encourage you (as I am myself) to spend time outside today reflecting on these aspects of balance to see what might surface. Enjoy!

4 Things You Can Do Today To Improve How You Feel.

How To Get Happy

1. Meditate – if you’re new to meditation, download a guided relaxation meditation or find a class to learn the basics. The impact regularly practiced mediation can have on your life is indescribable. It brings you in alignment with your true self and gets you on the path to live your purpose. 2. Add Some Veggies – instead of doing a major overhaul on your diet by following the latest diet fad, start by adding some vegetables to every meal. Your nutrition will improve and you will feel good about your choices. Next step, is cut out anything white (white flour, sugar, processed food). 3. Go Outside – we all need sunshine and many of us do not get enough. Over 80% of America’s population is deficient in Vitamin D. The sun recharges you and helps keep you energy balances. Make it a point to get at least a few minutes of sun every day. 4. Massage/Reiki – Take time out for yourself on a regular basis to relax. If it’s out of your budget, ask your therapist if they do a sliding scale or trade shoulder rubs with a friend. Regular Reiki treatments open your mind and help you to manage your stress. It can be the beginning of a new journey.
